Prevent and Protect Requirements

Volunteers

We are grateful for the time, talents and support our volunteers provide to our community. Your involvement helps make Ste Gen a special place and we encourage everyone to consider volunteering. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and vulnerable adults, the Archdiocese of St. Louis requires that every volunteer complete the Prevent and Protect STL compliance process before serving in any volunteer role.

Volunteer Compliance Requirements

Before volunteering, you must complete the following steps:

·        Register with Prevent and Protect STL.

·        Complete a background check.

·        View the two required online training modules.

·        Read and electronically sign the Code of Ethical Conduct.

·        Register for and attend the in person Protecting Gods Children workshop.

All requirements, with the exception of the live workshop, can be completed online at your convenience.

Getting Started

Click "Prevent and Protect STL Page" on this page, and click “Register” (located below the LOG IN button). When prompted, enter the passcode stlprotect and follow the registration steps. The system will guide you through each requirement and track your progress. Please note that all requirements, including the live workshop, must be completed before you are eligible to volunteer.

If you have any questions or need assistance with the process, please contact our Child Safety Coordinator:                            Bridget Davis, 314-966-3780, bdavis@stegenchurch.org

Thank you for your willingness to serve our community and for taking the time to complete these important requirements. Your commitment helps ensure that Ste Gen remains a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.

God Bless,

Msgr. John Shamleffer
